Hey Y'all!
I am loving Charlotte! It's a good pace and lots of good people to meet. We are meeting people from China and Mongolia and India. So many of them don't even have the basic belief in God. It's such a change from talking to people who are Protestant to people who are Athiest. I like explaining the basics of Heavenly Father and who He is in our life. It reminds me just how much he loves us. He cares about the little things we care about. The only way you can know that God exists is by looking at the small "miracles or tender mercies" that fall into your life. Things that happen that you know only came from Him because no one else could have known what you needed at that exact moment. It's so true. Bin, is a Chinese PHD student who came to America. He noticed that believing in God was part of American culture but also that the people here seemed to do more good things that people in his country and he wonders if it is because we have God. I loved that! Also we are teaching a young girl named Morgan. She came to institute, sacrament meeting and then a CES Fireside by Pres. Packer. She's doing wonderful! She works in the art gallery on campus and so we go have lessons with her there and sit in a circle in the corner. Tomorrow we are going to a missionary meeting where Elder Jose Alonso from the Seventy is coming to speak to us. We are driving back up to Salisbury. I'm really excited to visit my old home.
I know that God does exist. We are not just here by chance. Everything works out too well too perfectly to just be mere coincidence. He also cares about our individual lives. He is our Father and becaue of that he watches over us even if we are not looking to him.
Love y'all,
Sis. Erickson
