Hey everybody, it's been a great week in Wilkesboro. Last week it was in the 60's, so nice and warm. It was so odd to be the end of January and to be too warm in a winter coat. It's dropped back down today with wind chill and a possibility of storm I guess. So it was too nice to last. Last week was a lot of fun. We had a Leadership Training Meeting for our zone in Hickory. The district leaders, zone leaders, trainers, and the sisters were invited to participate. It was a great day. We had a meeting from 9-5 and got trained on how we can help our investigators with getting their own revelation through church attendance and praying. Also how we can begin teaching in a more efficient way. It was a lot of fun to be with President Thomas. He is so great. We got to go to dinner with some fun members last week in honor of Sis. Singleton's last week on her mission. She went home with President Thomas after our meeting and flew home on Friday. She seems to be doing wonderful, we heard from her over email today. She is missed though. This morning Sis. Knight and I went to "Cattle Sale." It is a tradition in Wilkes. It's like a giant farmers market/yard sale. Yes I did buy a rebel flag for $5. It was too good to pass up. We also got hats that say "FBI" for firm believer in Jesus. People wear that kind of stuff all over the south. We are going bowling with our district later today. Last week we got to teach Ben. He's doing well. We're moving a little slower with him because he has some hard things to work through but we're working with his less-active fiance Deloris. She's great too! This upcoming week we have a zone conference. Hope everyone has fun plans for Valentine's week! I also encourage everyone to look up mormon.org. It's a great website! I love the videos. Hope y'all have a blessed week!
Love, Sis. Erickson
