Hi Everyone!
Things have been going really great here for Sis. Flynn and I. It's been a pretty quiet week overall but still went well. We had appointments set up to see Beth and Sherrie and their families but it just didn't seem to work out. Hopefully next week! We still meet with Jesse and Giovani. She is being taught the lessons again. As a recent convert they hear the lessons again. The first few from the missionaries and then eventually it's turned over to the home teachers. Vani is doing lots better in church ha ha he's not running around so much and he can sit still for the whole hour. Yesterday at church, Lilly who is Jamie Waddell's daughter brought Sis. Flynn and I apples as a gift. She's a cutie! She calls us her buddies.
Tomorrow we are going to Winston-Salem for a "mission tour." A General Authory is coming to speak to us. I believe it's Elder Snow from the Seventy. It should be a fun change of pace and hopefully a valuable learning experience.
Next Saturday we will get the call about transfers and we'll see if I stay in Dobson or move on. Who knows really?
The most exciting thing that happened this week with our investigators is about Carol. Carol was a member years ago and had her records removed. She has been coming to church with her son over the past year. She has some hard habits she doesn't really want to give up and she's stubborn around the edges. I love her though! She has a cute dog named Sam. She kept saying that she never wanted to be forced to get baptized and that she wasn't ready. So we never brought it up and just visit her ever few weeks to say hi. Well this last week, she told us she'd like to have the lessons again and eventually wants to be baptized. She had a real change of heart. It was a special experience for us.
Hope y'all have a happy holiday season!
Love, Sis. Erickson
